The temperature and pressure relief valve for solar systems controls and limits the temperature and pressure of the hot water in a solar domestic hot water storage tank. It prevents temperatures from exceeding 100°C. Upon reaching the set values, the valve discharges a quantity of water into the atmosphere, reducing the pressure and temperature of the storage tank. The expelled water is immediately replaced by water from the mains supply.
